Super Immunity is not a destination, but a journey. This morning began like many others, with a monster super food meal or shake. Beginning your day with a shake has a number of benefits. Not only is it a light substitute to cereal, porridge, or eggs and bacon, but choosing a healthy shake allows you to consume vast amounts of minerals and vitamins quickly.

A shake, otherwise known as a liquid meal, allows your digestive system to take it easy.

With your digestive system on cruise control, not having to expend unnecessary effort breaking down solid, starchy, high in fat foods, it can focus on your immune system and overall health.

This is an advantage I want in my day to day life. This is a sacrifice I am willing to make to attain Super Immunity.

This Saturday it was a Kale Blackberry special, also known as “Blackberry Thunder.” The backbone of my super immunity is kale. When it comes to a supercharged green vegetable, overflowing with the suggested daily vitamin and mineral intake, it’s hard to beat Kale: The Vegetable of the Gods.

Let’s get back to the sweetness of this morning’s shake.

Ingredients / Recipe

  • 2 cups of kale, raw and organic

  • 1 cup of frozen organic blackberries
  • ½ cup of frozen organic blueberries
  • 2 table spoons of organic Flax Seed
  • 1 tea spoon of Buckwheat
  • 1 table spoon of organic Hemp
  • 1 table spoon of organic Chia Seeds

These ingredients are exploding with Plant based fibre and ALA Omega 3’s. Flax seeds are rich in anticancer lignans.

Note: Flax seeds and sesame seeds contain more lignans than any other food.

The anti-oxidants, potassium, Vitamin K, A, E, C and iron in this shake are all through the roof. All except E are far beyond the daily recommended intake and I haven’t even left the house! The fibre intake is also through the roof.

Every item in this shake is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. All sugar is natural. The calorie intake is minimal, under 200, thus setting you up to stay under your suggested daily calorie intake.
